Shift is an expression of constraints, culminating in a set of construction documents. The team was tasked with developing a reconfigurable theater on an existing site in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, all while navigating the realities of the NYC Building Code. The proposal separates front-of-house, back-of-house, and performance space into three distinct yet continuous enclosures, which are unified through the integration of structural and mechanical systems.
